Position Summary:

Shutts & Bowen LLP is currently seeking a highly experienced attorney to join its Intellectual Property group as a Patent and Trademark Litigator. The ideal candidate should have at least 8-12 years of experience practicing patent and trademark litigation and dispute resolution in a law firm setting. This individual should also be admitted to the Patent Bar and possess strong litigation skills, excellent drafting and communication abilities, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively within deadlines and as part of a team. An engineering or computer science degree is preferred, or significant experience litigating patents in these technology areas. Candidates must also be a member of the Florida Bar or in the process of becoming one. Shutts & Bowen will consider candidates looking to relocate to Florida, and some portable business is required. The firm offers a highly competitive salary for this position.

Responsibilities:

- Provide legal services in patent and trademark litigation and dispute resolution
- Work closely with partners and senior associates on patent and trademark issues
- Possess strong litigation skills
- Demonstrate excellent drafting and communication abilities
- Pay exceptional attention to detail
- Work effectively within deadlines and as part of a team
- Possess an engineering or computer science degree or significant experience litigating patents in these technology areas
- Admitted to the Patent Bar
- Be a member of the Florida Bar or in the process of becoming one
- Willing to relocate to Florida
