The successful candidate will have two to five years of litigation experience and will be responsible for working on prominent Illinois and national matters from pleadings and discovery all the way through to trial.
Job Responsibilities:
• Represent clients in court proceedings, including trials and hearings
• Prepare and draft pleadings, motions, discovery requests and responses, and briefs
• Collaborate with other attorneys and staff on legal projects
• Negotiate settlements with opposing counsel
• Maintain a high level of knowledge of legal topics and current developments in the law
• Analyze legal issues, research relevant laws, and present findings to the team
Qualifications:
• Juris Doctorate degree from an accredited law school
• Two to five years of litigation experience
• Excellent writing and research skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks
• Licensed to practice law in Illinois (dual admission in Illinois and Indiana is a plus)
