The successful candidate will be responsible for drafting estate planning documents, handling all aspects of trust administration, and other duties as assigned. The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications: • A four-year college degree or equivalent • An ABA approved paralegal certificate • A minimum of 7 to 10 years’ experience as a paralegal in the trusts and estates department of a top AmLaw firm The base pay offered for this position will depend upon the candidate's qualifications, years of relevant experience, and experience in the legal industry. As of the date of posting, JMBM reasonably expects to pay between $90K and $100K for this position. Job Summary JMBM is seeking an experienced Trusts & Estates Paralegal to join their Orange County office. The successful candidate will be responsible for drafting estate planning documents, handling all aspects of trust administration, and other duties as assigned. Job Responsibilities • Drafting estate planning documents, including wills, living trusts, irrevocable trusts and asset transfers • Assisting with post mortem trust administration, including assessor forms, statutory notices, creation of sub trusts, and allocation of assets • Preparing or reviewing estate tax returns (Form 706) and gift tax returns (Form 709) • Preparing or reviewing accountings • Drafting real estate deeds and other asset title documents • Forming LLCs, corporations and partnerships (including charitable entities) • Preparing purchase and sale agreements for inter-family transfers Qualifications • A four-year college degree or equivalent • An ABA approved paralegal certificate • A minimum of 7 to 10 years’ experience as a paralegal in the trusts and estates department of a top AmLaw firm Salary Information The actual base pay offered will depend upon a variety of factors, including, but not limited to the selected candidate's qualifications, years of relevant experience, and experience in the legal industry.
