The internship programs cover various areas, including Court Administration & Courthouse Operations, Judicial and Courtroom Operations, Family Court Services Mediation, and Paralegal work. Participants in the Paralegal program will gain experience in preparing legal documents for cases involving child support, spousal support, and health insurance issues. Most programs offer the opportunity to receive accreditation or course credit from their school or certification program.
To apply, interested individuals can fill out a supplemental questionnaire on the Court's website, indicating their program/area of interest and availability. The Court will place qualified applicants on an eligibility list for up to 6 months and consider them for available opportunities.
Please note that if you are under 18 years old, you must provide proof of eligibility to work, such as a work permit, and if you are applying for a for-credit internship, you must provide information on your school/program and their requirements for receiving credit.
