Law Firm Seeking Litigation Paralegal with Asbestos Experience in NYC:

- Department: Paralegal
- Location: New York, NY
- Salary: $70,000 - $85,000 per year

Hawkins Parnell & Young LLP, a top national defense litigation firm, is currently seeking a highly motivated and well-rounded litigation paralegal with 3-7 years of experience for their New York office. In this role, you will work closely with a dedicated litigation team and have the opportunity to learn and grow in your career.

Responsibilities:
- Manage national account team cases, including maintaining databases, meeting deadlines, and coordinating with local counsel
- Prepare and organize various legal documents, pleadings, and presentations
- Review and summarize depositions and records
- Assist with deposition preparations, including medical summaries and witness coordination
- Cite check briefs for fact and legal citations
- Prepare for hearings and document production

Requirements:
- Intellectual curiosity and self-direction
- Strong attention to detail
- Proficiency in MS Office suite and document management systems
- Experience with e-discovery and document review software

what you will be doing

national account team case management that includes maintaining databases, document retention, control and production; meeting docket deadlines; and assisting with coordination and monitoring of local counsel around the country
preparing and organizing a variety of pleadings, motions, documents, forms, charts, letters, presentations, reports
reviewing and summarizing depositions and records
preparing for depositions, including medical summaries and witnesses
cite checking of briefs regarding fact and legal citations
preparing for hearings
document production
