The law firm of BLD Legal is currently seeking a Mid/Senior Associate with experience in ERISA and Executive Compensation to join our team in New York. This is a lateral position, with a competitive salary and benefits package based on experience. We are looking for a candidate with at least 5 years of experience in employee benefits law, preferably with knowledge in both retirement and welfare benefit plans. The successful candidate will work within our BLD Specialties department, advising clients on employee benefit plans and handling benefits-related issues in M&A and other business transactions.

Responsibilities:
- Advise clients on employee benefit plans, including ongoing benefits work and issues arising in M&A and other transactions
- Provide guidance on retirement and welfare benefit plans
- Work collaboratively with the ERISA and Executive Compensation Group
- Stay updated on industry developments and changes in relevant laws and regulations

Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in employee benefits law
- Experience in both retirement and welfare benefit plans preferred
- Law firm experience preferred, but candidates with accounting or consulting firm experience will be considered
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Juris Doctor (.) degree from accredited law school
