As an Employment Law Associate at Bullivant Houser, you will have the opportunity to join a highly respected law firm and work on a variety of challenging and complex employment law matters. This is a mid to senior level position, requiring a minimum of four years of experience in employment law. Responsibilities:

Defend clients in employment law matters, including advising and representing clients in employment-related commercial litigation and employment law advice and litigation
Handle all phases of litigation, including legal research, drafting pleadings, reviewing and propounding discovery, managing files, and appearing and presenting arguments at hearings, depositions, arbitrations and trials
Develop creative legal strategies to address complex employment law issues
Work closely with colleagues and clients to provide efficient and effective legal services
Participate in professional development and training opportunities

Qualifications:

Strong academic record, with excellent oral and written communication skills
At least two years of experience in private law firm practice
Excellent legal research, analytical, and problem-solving skills
Demonstrated trial experience and/or trial preparation experience
Ability to manage multiple tasks and work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
Strong organizational and time management skills
Values diversity and teamwork
Admitted to practice law in Oregon, Washington experience is a plus
