H1: Experienced Business Immigration Paralegal for Leading International Law Firm in Washington, DC H2: Join Our Team as a DC Business Immigration Paralegal II Law firm Hunton Andrews Kurth LLP is seeking an experienced immigration paralegal to join their Washington, DC office. In this role, you will support the firm's Immigration practice by assisting lawyers with preparation of legal documents and conducting research. The ideal candidate will have at least five years of paralegal experience, with a focus on business immigration and experience managing client accounts. RESPONSIBILITIES: - Prepare and finalize petitions and applications with minimal supervision, including NIV and IV filings. - Actively participate in case intake and strategy, conducting research as needed. - Maintain timely communication with clients via email, phone, and video calls. - Monitor expiration reports and initiate renewal processes. - Maintain case communications and documentation using firm file maintenance programs. - Complete special projects as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS: - High school diploma or equivalent required, college degree preferred. - Paralegal certificate or certification from National Association of Legal Assistants or State helpful. - Minimum of five years' paralegal experience, with at least three years in business immigration. - Knowledge of Federal, State, and Local Rules. - Proficiency in Microsoft Office and research skills. - Ability to train other paralegals and work efficiently under pressure. - Excellent interpersonal communication skills and ability to work well with others. - Ability to adapt to changing conditions and prioritize workload. - Visual acuity for transcription and extensive reading. - Ability to receive and convey detailed information through oral communication. - Must be able to work overtime or travel on short notice.
