The Role

Foley Hoag's Intellectual Property Department is seeking a Patent Agent or Technology Specialist with a background in mechanical, biomedical, aerospace engineering, or related fields. The ideal candidate will have at least three years of patent prosecution experience and strong academic credentials. This position can be located in any of our US offices – New York, Boston, DC, or Denver.

Responsibilities

- Represent a variety of technology companies in patent prosecution matters
- Work closely with associates and partners to gain experience in patent strategy, drafting, prosecution, and diligence
- Develop strong verbal and written communication skills
- Potential for immediate client contact and significant responsibility

Qualifications

- . or . in a relevant field preferred, or equivalent industry experience
- Registered patent agent or willingness to take and pass the USPTO registration exam within one year of hire
- Excellent academic credentials and communication skills
