Summary:

Harris Beach, a top-ranked law firm with over 200 lawyers across multiple offices in New York state, is seeking an associate with litigation experience to join their Financial Restructuring, Bankruptcy and Creditors' Rights team. The position will involve representing clients in various bankruptcy and litigation matters, with the opportunity to work a hybrid schedule. Responsibilities:

- Draft demand letters, motions, pleadings, and other legal documents
- Research and develop strategies for clients in insolvency and bankruptcy situations
- Provide legal advice to creditor clients on collateral preservation and recovery
- Represent lenders in workout and forbearance agreements
- Make court appearances in state and bankruptcy court
- Maintain a minimum of 1800 billable hours annually

Qualifications:

- 1-5+ years of litigation experience, preference for creditor's rights experience
- Juris Doctorate from an ABA-accredited law school
- Admission to the New York bar
- Familiarity with video conferencing platforms
- Excellent research, writing, and communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to quickly absorb and understand new information
- Professional, positive, and flexible attitude
- Military experience is welcome
