Job Title: Paralegal - Employment Law
Location: New York, NY

The Employment Law Paralegal will assist attorneys with a focus on employment law, as well as other legal areas. The position involves handling both substantive and administrative tasks, and may also include specific projects as assigned. The ideal candidate will have experience in employment law and a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience. This is an in-person position at either the company's Corporate Headquarters in New York or their facility in Parsippany, NJ.

The responsibilities of the Paralegal include partnering with Human Resources to acquire employment files for potential litigations, drafting and filing legal documents, reviewing employee severance packages and non-competes, and assisting with intellectual property enforcement and portfolio maintenance. The position also involves working with the payroll team on employee overpayments and wage garnishments, and partnering with counsel on investigating bankruptcy matters.

The hiring range for this position is - $44 per hour, with the salary offered dependent upon the candidate's relevant skills and experience. Required qualifications for this position include a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, 2-4 years of experience in an in-house legal department with a focus on employment law, and proficiency in computer programs such as Word, Outlook, Excel, Adobe, and PowerPoint. The ideal candidate will also possess excellent written and interpersonal skills, outstanding organization and prioritization skills, and the ability to work independently while also taking direction. Attention to detail and the ability to maintain confidentiality are also important for this role.

Preferred qualifications for this position include prior paralegal experience.
