In this role, you will use your independent judgement to analyze and resolve conflicts requests, ensuring that all firm engagements and hires comply with our ethical standards. Position Summary: As a Conflicts Analyst at Cooley, you will be responsible for identifying, analyzing, and resolving conflicts requests. This includes preparing database search terms, creating conflicts reports, and performing corporate research to confirm the identity of related parties. You will also interact regularly with firm partners to investigate potential issues and propose solutions. Key Responsibilities: Analyze and process all conflict requests to ensure compliance with ethical standards Prepare database search terms and conflicts reports for related parties Conduct corporate research to identify potential conflicts or high-profile issues Communicate with firm partners to investigate and resolve potential issues Draft conflict waivers and engagement letters as necessary Provide conflicts training for staff and maintain conflicts resolution notes Stay informed about current legal trends and information Skills and Experience: To be successful in this role, you should have: 2+ years of experience in a law firm or legal environment, with knowledge of legal ethics and corporate law Strong analytical and critical thinking skills Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Proficiency in IntApp Open and Contract Express or similar programs Availability for overtime, including weekends if needed Competencies: Strong organizational skills with attention to detail Ability to work independently with minimal supervision Comfortable in a fast-paced, challenging environment Excellent customer service skills Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks Salary Information: The expected hourly pay range for this position is - , depending on geographic location, experience, and skillset.
