Job Title: Housing Finance Associate
Location: Minneapolis or Washington, .
Experience: 2-4 years

Responsibilities:
- Work as an associate in the Finance Department of Ballard Spahr LLP in either Minneapolis or Washington, .
- Possess at least two to four years of experience in commercial real estate finance and strong academic credentials.
- Prior experience with multifamily lenders, particularly Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, and FHA, is a plus.
- Participate in a national finance practice that has successfully completed transactions in all 50 states.
- Exposure to emerging market opportunities, structured finance, preferred equity originations, and commercial loan servicing (including non-performing loans).
- Hold an active bar license in MN or DC (preferred).
- Work in the office approximately three days per week.

Qualifications:
- At least two to four years of legal experience in commercial real estate finance.
- Strong academic credentials.
- Experience with multifamily lenders, preferably Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, and FHA.
- Active bar license in MN or DC (preferred).
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and with a team.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software.
