The candidate will help develop and implement intelligence-driven prosecution and prevention strategies designed to enhance public safety in Manhattan. Identify individuals and groups responsible for disproportionately driving crime, particularly violent crime, in Manhattan and help develop and implement strategies to address them. Work closely with the New York Police Department (in particular precinct Commanding Officers and their senior staff), as well as other law enforcement agencies and community stakeholders outside the office. Partner with the Community Partnerships Unit, the Violent Criminal Enterprise Unit, the Pathways to Public Safety Division, and other units within the office. Work collaboratively with CSU Chief, Deputy, and Investigative Analysts on case review and reinvestigation. Provide assistance and investigative support to ADAs throughout the office on individual investigations and prosecutions. Must have 5+ years of experience, with prior prosecutorial experience preferred. Prior experience in the investigation of criminal-case-related claims is required. Demonstrated experience working with criminal-system involved people including defendants, victims and survivors is needed. Excellent writing and research skills are essential.
