Organization: Office of the Attorney General Job Title: Antitrust Investigator II-III Salary: $3, - $4, per month Experience: Minimum 1 year experience in antitrust issues, market research, economic or statistical analysis Location: Austin, Texas Job Summary: The Office of the Attorney General (OAG) is seeking an experienced Antitrust Investigator to join their team in Austin, Texas. The Antitrust Division is responsible for investigating and prosecuting violations of antitrust laws and this position will play a crucial role in conducting complex investigations and providing legal support. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in antitrust enforcement or litigation and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. Responsibilities: - Conduct thorough investigations by gathering and analyzing information, data, and evidence related to antitrust cases and complaints - Assist with conducting background investigations, including interviewing witnesses and preparing summaries - Organize and maintain case files, ensuring confidentiality is maintained - Coordinate with other state and federal agencies involved in antitrust enforcement activities - Draft legal documents and correspondence - Provide technical guidance to less experienced staff - Attend work regularly and comply with agency policies and procedures Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university - Minimum of 1 year experience in antitrust issues, market research, economic or statistical analysis - Knowledge of investigative principles, techniques, and procedures - Strong research skills and ability to interpret complex rules and regulations - Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and other applications - Excellent written and verbal communication skills - Ability to work independently and as part of a team - Ability to handle multiple tasks, prioritize, and meet deadlines - Ability to travel up to 5% and lift up to 30 lbs. Preferred Qualifications: - Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with major coursework in a related field - 2 years of full-time experience in researching and compiling data, data extraction and analysis, or similar experience - Experience in a legal environment, such as a legal assistant or paralegal - Knowledge of legal terminology and principles - Familiarity with database software and e-discovery platforms - Professional certification (CLA, CP, or RP) To Apply: Interested candidates must submit an electronic application through CAPPS Recruit.
