Paralegal, Insurance Law - CLO, Legal Role in San Francisco, California

About the Role:

- Part of Uber's Global Safety & Core Services legal team
- Responsible for creating insurance solutions for Uber, its drivers, and passengers
- Manages legal affairs for Uber's captive reinsurance company and handles complex claims related to Corporate coverages

Responsibilities:

- Provide drafting support for various contracts, including insurance policies, program agreements, reinsurance agreements, and NDAs
- Create and maintain a legal library, reference manuals, and resource materials
- Prepare presentations on insurance and safety topics
- Manage and track legal invoices using billing software
- Conduct legal research
- Draft routine correspondence and assist in special projects
- Proofread and fact-check external communications and marketing materials related to insurance and safety
- Maintain corporate records and support corporate governance for affiliated/associated companies
- Develop communication protocol for collaboration with US and international legal counterparts

Basic Qualifications:

- 3+ years of experience in a law firm or in-house legal department, preferably in legal litigation

Preferred Qualifications:

- Insurance experience preferred
- Ability to review and organize litigation documents
- Proven ability to track complex projects and meet deadlines
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships
- Technical know-how with computer skills, including Google Suite, Excel, Word, Adobe, and Box
- Self-motivated and strategic problem solver
- High standards of integrity, ethics, and accountability
- Enthusiastic about Uber and making a big impact

Salary Information:

- For San Francisco, CA-based roles: The base hourly rate range is per hour - per hour
- Eligible for Uber's bonus program and may receive equity awards and other types of compensation
