In this role, you will be responsible for providing both billable and administrative support to attorneys and clients. Your primary duties will include drafting and indexing legal documents, managing court filing deadlines, trial preparation, document production, and other tasks as needed. You will also be responsible for administrative duties such as scheduling appointments, maintaining calendars, and managing client information. To be successful in this role, you will need at least three years of experience as a legal secretary or administrative assistant in a law firm or legal department. An Associate's degree is required, but a Bachelor's degree is preferred. Experience supporting construction, development, & condemnation or litigation practice groups is also required. A paralegal certificate or one year of paralegal experience is preferred. We are looking for someone who is highly proficient in document management systems, federal electronic filing, eDiscovery software, and the Microsoft Office Suite. Experience with trial presentation software and electronic work flow systems is a plus. You must also have excellent communication and time management skills, be organized and detail-oriented, and have outstanding interpersonal and customer service skills.
