The Litigation Docket Specialist (California and Asbestos-Specific Docketing) position is a full-time role with Husch Blackwell LLP, a leading litigation and business law firm with multiple locations across the United States. The position can be filled remotely or in any of our locations and is responsible for monitoring assigned shared mailboxes and docketing requests in a timely manner using the firm's litigation docketing software. The position reports to the Litigation Docket Manager and may also assist with additional projects within the Docket Team. The ideal candidate will have a strong knowledge of California litigation and asbestos practice, as well as experience in various federal and state courts.

Key responsibilities for the Litigation Docket Specialist (California and Asbestos-Specific Docketing) position include:

- Independently docketing for designated assignment group, including reviewing and comprehending documents, verifying deadlines, and ensuring accuracy of timekeepers assigned to matters.
- Creating, reviewing, and distributing accurate matter reports.
- Researching and applying statutory, agency, court, and individual judges' rules and practices.
- Collaborating with the Litigation Docket Manager to improve docketing best practices.
- Assisting the Docket Team with special projects as needed.
- Staying current with developments, procedures, and rules in courts and agencies within the designated assignment group.

The ideal candidate for this position will have a 2-year degree or Paralegal Certificate, with a 4-year degree preferred. They should also have 3-5 years of litigation docketing experience, with specific experience using CompuLaw Vision. Additionally, the candidate should have a strong knowledge of California litigation and asbestos practice, as well as litigation process, court rules, and procedures. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Adobe products, and internet research is required, along with strong attention to detail, analytical abilities, and resourcefulness.

The expected compensation for this position will vary based on skills, experience, location, and other factors permitted by law. The expected compensation ranges for this position in various states and jurisdictions are as follows:

- State of California: $53,000 - $102,000
- State of Colorado: $49,000 - $88,000
- Jersey City, NJ: $58,000 - $105,000
- State of Massachusetts: $53,000 - $102,000
- State of New York: $50,000 - $107,000
- State of Washington: $52,000 - $98,000
