Summary:

The law firm Morrison Foerster LLP is seeking an experienced patent professional to join their team as a US Filing Specialist in their Washington . office. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational and communication skills, as well as the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. They will be responsible for coordinating all aspects of . patent filing and prosecution for assigned clients, maintaining relationships with clients, and ensuring deadlines are met. The candidate must also have a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience and a minimum of 2 years of progressive patent experience.

Responsibilities:

- Coordinate all aspects of . patent filing and prosecution for assigned clients.
- Develop and maintain relationships with assigned clients.
- Maintain manual calendar and review electronic docket for assigned clients.
- Prepare and file . patent applications electronically.
- Process incoming correspondence related to . patent prosecution.
- Research and provide accurate responses to office actions.
- Ensure all deadlines are met.
- Provide back-up support for colleagues and assist with training junior staff.
- File documents and emails relating to . patent prosecution.
- Open electronic files and assist with client file transfers.
- Review and process vendor invoices.
- Work overtime and have flexibility with schedule as needed.

Ideal Candidate:

- Bachelor's degree, paralegal certification, or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of 2 years of progressive patent experience.
- Ability to work independently and deliver positive results.
- Detailed knowledge of USPTO procedures and regulations.
- Familiarity with USPTO website and related websites.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong client service skills.
- Excellent communication and writing skills.
- Organizational skills and ability to prioritize workload.
- Ability to establish good working relationships.
- Proficiency in essential software programs.
- Availability for overtime and flexibility with schedule.

Salary Information:
