Job Title: Commercial Finance Associate Location: Philadelphia, Minneapolis or Sioux Falls Salary: Competitive, based on experience Job Description: Ballard Spahr LLP, a national law firm with over 600 lawyers, is seeking a Commercial Finance Associate with three to five years of experience to join our industry-leading commercial finance practice. This is an excellent opportunity for professional growth in a collegial environment at a top law firm. The position is available in either Philadelphia, Minneapolis, or Sioux Falls. Responsibilities: • Represent a wide variety of institutional clients nationwide, including commercial banks, commercial finance companies, direct purchasers, private equity firms, investors and developers, and major non-profits • Work on a variety of complex commercial finance transactions, including syndicated and portfolio transactions • Represent lenders and borrowers • Have a thorough understanding and working knowledge of Article 9 of the UCC and bankruptcy code • Handle all phases of commercial finance transactions • Experience with workouts/restructuring, and/or M&A and private equity transactions is a plus Requirements: • Three to five years of experience in commercial finance • Strong transactional background • Excellent academic credentials • is preferred • Strong writing and analytical skills Diversity and Inclusion: Ballard Spahr is committed to increasing diversity in the legal profession and supporting the communities where we live and work.
