A law firm is seeking a Junior-Mid Level Benefits Associate Attorney with the following qualifications and responsibilities:

Job Overview: The Junior-Mid Level Benefits Associate Attorney will be responsible for providing legal support and counsel related to benefits and compensation matters. This role involves working with qualified retirement plans, health & welfare plans, and executive & deferred compensation arrangements. Experience with supporting benefits and compensation in M&A, ERISA litigation, and withdrawal liability is desirable.

Duties:

  • Provide legal support and counsel on benefits and compensation matters.
  • Assist with qualified retirement plans, health & welfare plans, and executive & deferred compensation arrangements.
  • Support benefits and compensation aspects of M&A transactions.
  • Handle ERISA litigation matters.
  • Analyze withdrawal liability issues.
  • Conduct legal research and analysis.
  • Draft legal documents, including contracts, agreements, and memoranda.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, attorneys, and staff.

Requirements:

  • 2-4 years of benefits experience in private practice.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent writing, oral advocacy, communication, and legal analysis skills.
  • . from an ABA-accredited law school.
  • Excellent academic credentials.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Ability to work independently and within a team.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively with diverse groups.
  • Ability to manage confidential information with discretion.
  • Confidence to identify and analyze issues, make decisions, and initiate actions/solutions.

Education and Certifications:
