Duties and Responsibilities:
- Represent clients from case intake through trial, ensuring high-quality legal representation at all stages.
- Prepare and file pleadings, motions, and other legal documents.
- Manage a caseload efficiently, balancing multiple cases while meeting deadlines.
- Collaborate effectively with colleagues and clients to ensure comprehensive case strategies.
- Lead and participate in mediations, settlement negotiations, and trial preparation.
- Provide clear and strategic legal advice to clients on family law matters.
- Maintain a professional, respectful relationship with clients, opposing counsel, and the court.
- Prepare for and participate in trials, with experience in first-chair or significant second-chair roles.
Requirements:
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in family law practice, with a focus on complex cases.
- Strong trial experience, including first-chair or significant second-chair involvement.
- Ability to manage cases independently from start to finish.
- Proven experience in drafting legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and discovery responses.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure and manage a demanding caseload.
Education:
- Juris Doctor (.) from an accredited law school.
Certifications:
- Licensed to practice law in Minnesota.
