Troutman Pepper is currently seeking a Multifamily Paralegal to join our growing team in Richmond, VA or Washington, . This is a full-time position with a competitive salary and benefits package.

As a Multifamily Paralegal, you will work with the Multifamily Housing Finance group to review and analyze title and survey for commercial real estate loans. This role requires a thorough knowledge of title and survey, as well as experience with Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac guidelines. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of experience in commercial real estate transactions, preferably in a law firm or title company setting.

Responsibilities:

Conduct title and survey review and analysis for commercial real estate loans, specifically for Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac loans.
Maintain current knowledge of commercial real estate lending guidelines.
Perform paralegal duties and responsibilities as directed by the group leader and other attorneys.
Monitor and meet loan closing deadlines.
Maintain the firm’s official file utilizing the document management system.
Track and record client-billable time, meeting minimum billable hour requirements.
Prioritize work on a daily basis and communicate any issues or delays.
Track and record both billable and non-billable work on a daily basis.

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university.
Minimum of 2 years of experience with commercial real estate transactions, specifically title and survey.
Experience with Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac guidelines is preferred.
Strong organizational and writing skills.
Ability to work well in a team and collaborate with other practice groups and offices.
Ability to receive and follow complex instructions.
Excellent time management skills and the ability to juggle multiple assignments in a fast-paced environment.
Impeccable attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
Self-starter with strong organizational and communication skills.
High level of professionalism.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Ability to manage a large workload in a fast-paced environment.

As a Multifamily Paralegal, you will play a critical role in the loan closing process by conducting title and survey review and analysis for commercial real estate loans, specifically for Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac loans. You will need to have a strong understanding of title and survey, as well as experience with commercial real estate lending guidelines. This position also has a billable hour requirement.

Key Responsibilities:
