Are you a skilled attorney looking for a challenging and impactful role? Fragomen, a global law firm, is seeking a Litigation Associate to join their Government Strategies & Compliance team in Washington, DC. In this role, you will have the opportunity to work closely with Partners and Associates to advise clients on critical immigration issues and contribute to shaping immigration policies.

As an Associate in Government Strategies & Compliance, you will have the chance to make a difference by investigating and litigating a variety of immigration matters for both individuals and corporate clients. You will also have the opportunity to counsel some of the world’s largest employers on their immigration programs and advocate for better immigration policies.

To excel in this role, you should have a JD from an accredited law school and be a member of the State Bar, preferably in DC. You should also have experience in complex litigation and enforcement defense, as well as the ability to manage research and investigation projects. While business immigration experience is not required, it is a plus.

H3: Responsibilities of a Litigation Associate in Government Strategies & Compliance at Fragomen

As an Associate in Government Strategies & Compliance, you will:

- Work closely with partners and associates to advise clients on critical immigration issues
- Investigate and litigate a variety of immigration matters for both individuals and corporate clients
- Draft legal documents such as complaints, discovery, and reports
- Manage intake and handle outreach to a large number of plaintiffs
- Conduct in-depth research on immigration law and policy issues
- Support clients in immigration program management and compliance
- Represent employers in immigration compliance audits and investigations
- Defend employers against charges of immigration-related employment discrimination
- Conduct immigration due diligence for mergers and acquisitions
- Prepare comments on regulatory processes and draft testimony for congressional hearings
- Other duties as required

H3: Qualifications for a Litigation Associate in Government Strategies & Compliance at Fragomen

To excel in this role, you should have:

- A JD from an accredited law school
- Membership in the State Bar, preferably in DC
- Legal experience in complex litigation and enforcement defense
- Experience managing research, investigation, and/or litigation projects
- Strong collaboration skills
- Creativity in proposing alternative solutions
- Proficiency in researching, collecting, manipulating, and analyzing data
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks
- Ability to build effective relationships and networks, both internally and externally
