Position Summary: The Family Law Paralegal will work closely with an Austin Partner to support the firm's clients in a manner that is consistent with our core values and vision. The right candidate must have 5+ years of Texas Family Law experience along with attention to detail, strong organizational and drafting skills, and the ability to communicate effectively, both written and verbal. The paralegal position resides in the Dallas office, five days a week, with some remote flexibility depending on the supervising attorney's preference and level of expertise. Job Title: Family Law Paralegal Location: Dallas, TX Compensation: $65,000 - $85,000 per year (salaried non-exempt position eligible for overtime pay and an annual bonus) Benefits: We offer a competitive compensation package including medical, dental, vision, 401k contributions, holidays, three weeks PTO and more. Job Responsibilities: Prepare legal documents such as pleadings, motions, and court orders for review, approval, and use by attorney. Correspond with clients and prepare spreadsheets and documents for Inventory and Appraisement and Proposed Support Decision. File pleadings with court clerks. Coordinate delivery of subpoenas to witnesses and parties to action. Conduct intake calls with potential new clients and prepare attorneys for initial consultation. Assist attorneys in preparing for mediations, depositions, hearings, trials, and conferences. Assist attorneys in analyzing and resolving recurring problems that arise in family law cases. Draft discovery requests, calendar relevant due dates, and prepare correspondence to opposing counsels and/or opposing parties. Assist clients to comply with discovery requests and compile requested documents.
