Job Title: Family Law Paralegal
Experience: Minimum of 2 years in litigation and/or family law
Salary: Generous $5,000 Sign-on-bonus
Location: Wilmington or New Bern, North Carolina

Overview:
Ward and Smith, . is a growing full-service law firm with multiple offices throughout North Carolina. We are currently seeking an experienced Family Law Paralegal to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, exceptional organizational and time management skills, and excellent communication and technology skills. This is a great opportunity for a motivated and detail-oriented individual to join a dynamic and diverse team.

Responsibilities:
- Assisting attorneys in the acceptance, organization, investigation, and resolution of family law matters
- Drafting court documents including complaints, answers, motions, and correspondence
- Drafting interrogatories and other discovery
- Conferring with all parties involved
- Docketing and maintaining schedules
- Monitoring progress and following up to ensure completion of required actions

Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in litigation and/or family law
- Degree in Paralegal Technology or Business preferred
- NC Notary Public commission or ability to obtain one
- Meticulous attention to detail and strong proofreading skills
- Proficient in MS Office Suite, PDF, and general online research
- Ability to work independently and collaborate with team members
