Pittsburgh office of our client seeks special education attorney with 1-3 years of legal experience. The candidate will represent parents and students in matters involving the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act and Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act. Will independently manage all aspects of a busy caseload, including interviewing clients, drafting memoranda and briefs, advocating in IEP meetings, filing complaints and litigating due process claims before the Office for Dispute Resolution. Background in disability rights advocacy, due process hearings or civil rights litigation will receive special consideration. Must be admitted to the Pennsylvania Bar, or eligible for reciprocal admission is essential.
