Law Firm Seeks Experienced Litigation Paralegal in San Diego

Quarles & Brady, a leading law firm, is currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Litigation Paralegal to join our Labor & Employment Litigation Group in San Diego. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of five years of litigation and trial experience. This position offers an excellent opportunity to work with a dynamic team of attorneys and gain experience in all aspects of case management, from inception to trial.

Responsibilities:

- Assisting with filings and services
- Collecting and reviewing documents
- Preparing documents for production
- Assisting attorneys with preparations for depositions, hearings, and trial
- Preparing subpoenas

Qualifications:

- Minimum of 5 years of litigation paralegal experience, with strong experience in both state and federal courts
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Westlaw, Adobe, and e-Discovery tools
- Extensive technology experience with applications such as Trial Director, CaseMap, and Everlaw
- Strong time management and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Highly organized, self-motivated, and strong interpersonal skills
- Experience with processing electronically stored information (ESI)

Responsibilities of a Litigation Paralegal:

- Provide support to attorneys in all stages of litigation, from case inception to trial
- Conduct legal research and gather relevant information for cases
- Assist with document management, including organizing and maintaining case files
- Prepare and file legal documents, such as pleadings, motions, and briefs
- Coordinate and schedule depositions, hearings, and trials
- Communicate with clients, witnesses, and other parties involved in the case
- Prepare exhibits and other materials for use in court
- Assist with trial preparation, including organizing trial binders and exhibits
- Handle administrative tasks, such as managing calendars and scheduling appointments

Qualifications of a Litigation Paralegal:

- Minimum of 5 years of litigation paralegal experience, preferably in labor and employment law
- Strong knowledge of state and federal court procedures
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Westlaw, Adobe, and e-Discovery tools
- Experience with trial technology, such as Trial Director, CaseMap, and Everlaw
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks and deadlines
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Highly organized, self-motivated, and detail-oriented
- Experience with processing electronically stored information (ESI)
