View the Pay Transparency Posting Senior Lead Counsel I - Banking & Lending: - Job Title: Senior Lead Counsel I - Banking & Lending - Company: Citi - Department: Legal - Product - Location: New York, New York and Tampa, Florida (remote/hybrid) - Time Type: Full time - Salary Range: $211, - $316, per year - Job ID: 24722091 Responsibilities: - Provide legal advice on various issues and projects related to the North America Lending business of Citi Global Wealth. - Support the Banking business and provide legal and regulatory advice on new regulations. - Advise on lending to individuals and various entity types across multiple product areas. - Oversee special projects and escalations. - Coordinate with Citi Legal colleagues and external counsel to ensure compliance with . laws and regulations. - Collaborate with key areas across Citigroup, including Legal, Compliance, and Risk. - Draft and maintain credit documentation for margin lending and other lending products. - Oversee transactions documented by external counsel. - Establish a basis for the institution to access collateral in the event of a client's insolvency. - Advise on consumer regulations governing mortgage origination and servicing. - Provide guidance on commercial terms and regulatory treatment of banking products. - Assess risk and adhere to policies and regulations. - Exercise ethical judgement and escalate control issues. - Supervise and hold others accountable for maintaining standards. Qualifications: - 7+ years of relevant experience in financial services. - Knowledge of banking regulations and laws. - Familiarity with international laws and regulations. - Experience with complex deals and ability to analyze issues and develop legal solutions. - Strong communication and negotiation skills. - Ability to build and maintain trusted relationships. - Excellent interpersonal, analytical, and organizational skills. - Ability to apply sound judgement and manage assignments in a fast-paced environment. - Attention to detail and ability to identify legal and franchise risks. - Active bar license to practice law.
