Law Firm is looking for an experienced Patent Agent (Biological Sciences) to join their team in either Atlanta, Boston, or Pittsburgh. The successful candidate will draft and prosecute patent applications and conduct patent validity, non-infringement, and freedom-to-operate analyses. They will also handle IP due diligences, patent litigations, post-grant proceedings (IPR, PGR, interferences) and other IP matters in the life sciences related to cutting-edge technologies, such as gene editing, cellular therapies, antibody-based therapeutics, and molecular diagnostics.

The ideal candidate for this role will have at least two years of substantive patent experience, and a minimum of an advanced degree (. preferred, or . with several years industry experience) in the biological sciences (., Biology, Molecular Biology, Cellular Biology, Biochemistry, Genetics, Immunology, Virology). They will also need to be registered to practice before the . Patent and Trademark Office and have excellent written and oral communication skills, superior academic background, and a desire for teamwork, significant responsibility, and client interaction.

They will also handle IP due diligences, patent litigations, post-grant proceedings (IPR, PGR, interferences) and other IP matters in the life sciences related to cutting-edge technologies, such as gene editing, cellular therapies, antibody-based therapeutics, and molecular diagnostics.

## Job Responsibilities

- Draft and prosecute patent applications
- Conduct patent validity, non-infringement, and freedom-to-operate analyses
- Handle IP due diligences, patent litigations, post-grant proceedings (IPR, PGR, interferences) and other IP matters in the life sciences related to cutting-edge technologies

## Required Qualifications

- Minimum two (2) years of substantive patent experience; three-five years of experience preferred
