Alston & Bird, an international law firm, is seeking an experienced Paralegal to join our Environmental & Land Use - Litigation practice group in our Los Angeles office. In this role, you will have the opportunity to work on a variety of litigation matters, including federal and California state court cases, with a focus on environmental and toxic tort issues. We are looking for self-starters who are highly organized and team players. Overtime may be required to meet client deadlines.

Responsibilities:

- Organize and maintain document files, including correspondence, court papers, and case records
- Review and analyze matters for evaluations and status reports
- Draft legal documents, including complaints, motions, and petitions
- Conduct research and locate relevant information using available resources
- Contact and interview parties, witnesses, and experts
- Assist with trial preparation and scheduling of witnesses and exhibits
- Utilize computer databases for organization and research
- Promote positive working relationships with colleagues and follow ethical requirements

Skills and Qualifications:

- Knowledge of federal and California state court procedures and electronic discovery
- Ability to prioritize and complete tasks under time constraints
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively with clients and colleagues
- Willingness to work more than 40 hours per week and potentially travel for the job
- Four-year college degree and 5+ years of experience as a Litigation paralegal

The salary range for this position is $90,000 - $125,000 per year and is specific to our Los Angeles office. The actual compensation offered will depend on the candidate's experience, qualifications, and location.
