Job Description

As an Energy & Climate Solutions Associate, you will be responsible for working on ground-breaking financing transactions for our clients in the clean energy and decarbonization sectors. This role requires 3-6 years of transactional experience with a focus on project finance and/or structured asset-based finance and non-recourse lending transactions. The ideal candidate will have experience representing sponsors, developers, borrowers, lenders, or investors, and a strong interest in developing a broad expertise in financing clean energy projects and portfolios.

Responsibilities

- Work closely with partners and senior lawyers to provide active mentoring
- Collaborate with a team of attorneys nationwide focused on clean energy and climate solutions
- Assume a high level of responsibility and client contact
- Draft and negotiate agreements with companies ranging from start-ups to international infrastructure investors
- Gain experience in a wide range of project finance and development
- Maintain strong drafting and negotiating skills
- Provide superior academic credentials, and excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills

Qualifications

- 3-6 years of transactional experience with a focus on project finance and/or structured asset-based finance and non-recourse lending transactions
- Experience representing sponsors, developers, borrowers, lenders, or investors
- Strong interest in developing a broad expertise in financing clean energy projects and portfolios
- Excellent drafting and negotiating skills
- Superior academic credentials
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills

Compensation and Benefits

- Salary range of $260,000 – $390,000, based on year classification
- Discretionary merit bonuses may also be awarded
