With offices in Albany, Buffalo, Ithaca, New York City, Rochester, Saratoga Springs, Syracuse, Uniondale, Washington, ., and White Plains, as well as New Haven, Connecticut and Newark, New Jersey, Harris Beach serves clients in a variety of industries, including education, energy, financial, food and beverage, health care, insurance, manufacturing, medical and life sciences, real estate developers, and state and local governments and authorities. We are seeking an associate to join our national Mass Torts and Industry-Wide Litigation team. This role will involve working collaboratively with colleagues in all of our offices, and may be based in Albany, Buffalo, Ithaca, Rochester, or Syracuse NY offices (Hybrid remote opportunity). ### Qualifications The successful candidate must have: * 3+ years of chemical exposure/toxic tort case experience * Admission to NY and NJ (or ability to waive into NJ) * Meaningful state and federal experience * Proven, superior writing skills * Excellent oral communication skills * Strong deposition, motion, pleading, and e-discovery experience * High level of organization, detail-orientation, and research skills * Professional, cooperative, positive, and flexible attitude * Well-developed interpersonal and client relation skills * Military experience welcome ### Responsibilities The successful candidate will be responsible for: * Researching various issues and collaborating with senior attorneys about strategies * Taking and defending depositions on a regular basis * Managing discovery and e-discovery as needed * Drafting reports to clients, memoranda, pleadings, motions, etc., including significant and complex motion practice * Participating in trial/ADR planning and preparation * Representing clients at courtroom appearances ### Salary Information Salary will vary depending upon relevant experience for the position and geographic location. The minimum hiring rate is $118,000 and the maximum hiring rate is $145,000.
