Are you a skilled Patent Agent with experience in Mechanical Engineering? Faegre Drinker, a top law firm, is currently seeking an Intellectual Property Patent Agent to join our dynamic Intellectual Property practice. This is a fantastic opportunity to be involved in all aspects of patent preparation and prosecution in our multiple offices across the country, including Chicago, Dallas, Denver, Fort Wayne, Indianapolis, Minneapolis, Philadelphia, Washington, DC, and Wilmington.

Job Title: Intellectual Property Patent Agent - Mechanical Engineering
Location: Multiple offices across the country
Salary: $95,000 - $185,000 per year (actual salary may vary based on experience and location)

Job Summary:
The Intellectual Property Patent Agent will be responsible for drafting and prosecuting mechanical patent applications related to engines, transmissions, drivetrains, suspensions, control systems, consumer products, and medical devices. The ideal candidate will have at least two years of experience in patent drafting and a degree in Mechanical Engineering or relevant technical experience. Current registration as a patent agent is required.

Responsibilities:
- Draft and prosecute patent applications related to mechanical engineering
- Collaborate with team members and clients to ensure successful outcomes
- Conduct research and analyze patent and technical documents
- Communicate effectively with clients and colleagues
- Stay up-to-date with changes in patent law and industry trends

Requirements:
- Minimum of two years of experience in patent drafting
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent technical experience
- Current registration as a patent agent
- Strong academic credentials
- Excellent writing skills
- Professional recommendations
