Responsibilities

• Provide legal services to clients in the areas of estate planning, estate and gift taxation, and estate and trust administration.
• Advise clients on related services to individuals, charitable organizations, foundations, and corporate fiduciaries.
• Collaborate with a Partner who is Florida Bar Board Certified in Wills, Trusts and Estates.
• Stay current on state and federal laws and regulations related to estate planning and taxation.
• Attend meetings and conferences with clients to discuss their estate planning needs and goals.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, colleagues, and other professionals in the industry.
• Mentor and supervise junior associates and support staff.

Qualifications

• 5-15 years of relevant experience in estate planning, estate and gift taxation, and estate and trust administration.
• LLM in Tax or Estate Planning preferred, but not required.
• Must be a member of the Florida Bar or be willing to become a member.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
• Excellent client service skills.

Position Summary

Shutts & Bowen LLP is currently seeking a for its Private Client Services Practice Group. The ideal candidate will have 5-15 years of experience in estate planning, estate and gift taxation, and estate and trust administration. The candidate can be based out of any Shutts location but must be willing to spend time in the Miami office. The successful candidate will work closely with a Partner who is Florida Bar Board Certified in Wills, Trusts and Estates. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated and experienced attorney to join a dynamic and highly respected law firm.
