A law firm located in Washington, DC is seeking a Mid-level Consumer Products Associate Attorney with a minimum of 4 years of experience and expertise in regulatory counseling and enforcement regarding the US Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC). The ideal candidate must possess superb legal writing skills, strong academic credentials, and excellent references. They should currently be licensed to practice law in the jurisdiction in which they are applying or be eligible for licensure.

 

Duties:

  • Provide legal counsel and advice to clients on regulatory compliance matters related to consumer products.
  • Conduct legal research and analysis of CPSC regulations and enforcement actions.
  • Draft and review legal documents, including compliance plans, risk assessments, and regulatory submissions.
  • Assist clients in responding to CPSC inquiries, investigations, and enforcement actions.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external experts to develop effective strategies for compliance and risk management.
  • Stay updated on changes in CPSC regulations and advise clients accordingly.
  • Participate in client meetings, presentations, and trainings on consumer product safety matters.

 

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (.) from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the DC State Bar or ability to waive in.
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in regulatory counseling and enforcement regarding the US Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC).
  • Superb legal writing skills with a strong attention to detail.
  • Strong academic credentials and excellent references.
  • Current licensure to practice law in the jurisdiction of application or eligibility for licensure.

 

Education and Certifications:

  • Juris Doctor (.) from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the DC State Bar or ability to waive in.
