We are currently seeking a Litigation Paralegal to join our fast-paced team in either our Los Angeles or San Diego office.

The Opportunity

As a Litigation Paralegal at Morrison Foerster, you will play a crucial role in all phases of a matter, from case inception to trial or resolution. You will have the opportunity to work on a variety of tasks and projects, including document collections, reviews, and productions, as well as assisting with court filings, depositions, and trial preparation. This is an exciting time to join our team and make a significant impact on high-profile cases.

Key Responsibilities

- Assist in all phases of a matter, from case inception through trial or resolution.
- Coordinate document management, including organization, review, and production.
- Work with our eDiscovery Resource Management team to manage document databases and coordinate electronic discovery proceedings.
- Prepare court filings, including cite and fact checking, Bluebook citation, proofreading, and assembling exhibits and appendices.
- Assist with depositions, including preparing witness files, exhibits, notices, and subpoenas, and summarizing depositions.
- Conduct factual and legal research, examine public records, monitor legislative and administrative proceedings, and locate witnesses and evidence.
- Assist with trial preparation and logistics, including managing exhibits, setting up trial space, and attending trial as needed.

Education and Experience

- 2-5 years of relevant experience in a similar practice area or comparable work experience preferred.

Teamwork and Applied Skills

- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines with minimal supervision.
- Strong sense of accountability and ownership of projects, with a proactive approach to resolving issues.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow complex instructions.
- Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and work well under pressure.
- Strong research, synthesis, and communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs, including Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Flexibility to work overtime and travel as needed.

Salary and Benefits

At Morrison Foerster, we value and invest in our employees. The salary range for this position in California is $71K-$100K, and may vary based on factors such as local market data, skills, experience, and qualifications.
