Bond, Schoeneck & King, PLLC is seeking a highly experienced Senior Trust and Estate Paralegal to join our dynamic team in Syracuse, New York. As a Senior Trust and Estate Paralegal, you will play a vital role in our Trust and Estate Department Practice Group. You will be responsible for assisting in all phases of trust and estate administration, including tax preparation, court filings, monitoring accounts, and gathering information on assets and debts. This is a highly independent and proactive role that requires a minimum of 5-10 years of related experience, preferably with a law firm or in-house legal department.

Position Responsibilities:

- Perform T&E Paralegal responsibilities at a high volume to assist in all phases of trust and estate administration
- Gather information needed for preparation of tax returns and initial preparation of related tax returns
- Prepare pleadings for court filings and ongoing estate administration
- Monitor and maintain estate and trust administration
- Monitor estate and trust accounts, including payment of monthly expenses
- Gather information on assets and debts of an estate and/or trust
- Prepare estate/trust accountings
- eFile documents in various counties
- Conduct investigations and prepare correspondence for attorneys
- Communicate with court administration and regulatory bodies as needed
- Other duties as assigned

Job Requirements:

- Minimum 5-10 years of trust and estate experience, including a background in trusts and estates, fiduciary tax, and probate
- Minimum of 2 years of college, Paralegal Certificate, or equivalent work experience preferred
- Experience with tax and estate administration software a plus
- Independent, proactive, organized, and diligent worker with the ability to work with minimal direction
- Ability to respond quickly and positively to shifting demands and opportunities
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent writing and verbal communication skills
- Ability to multi-task, pay attention to detail, and prioritize daily tasks and responsibilities

At Bond, Schoeneck & King, we offer a competitive salary range of $75,000 to $85,000, negotiable based on years of experience. Our offer of employment is contingent upon a satisfactory conflicts check and background check.
