Experience: Experience working with youth between the ages of 15-22 preferred

Job Description:

- Conduct eligibility and substantive interviews for foster youth seeking legal assistance
- Manage Project hotline, voicemail, and email communications
- Provide youth appropriate mentoring and guidance
- Interview clients and witnesses
- Conduct follow-up of assigned cases and research law
- Prepare legal documents and necessary paperwork
- Assist with outreach activities and represent the Project in meetings and trainings
- Oversee updates to the Project's "Aging Out Guide" and publication process
- Process requests for materials and assist with obtaining necessary authorizations and forms
- Attend and participate in community group meetings and educational forums
- Accompany clients and staff to court and other meetings
- Maintain accurate and complete client files and administrative records
- Notarize legal documents and serve process and subpoenas
- Other duties as required by the branch or team manager

Qualifications:

- Experience working with youth between the ages of 15-22
- Strong interest in working with youth population
- Good verbal, reading, and writing skills
- Computer skills, specifically Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- College degree required
- Strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel
- Preference given to alumnus of foster care
