Job Description:

As a Business Immigration Consultant at Fragomen, you will have the opportunity to work in an exciting, dynamic, and challenging environment with people who are passionate about immigration. You will play a key role in providing world-class client service and utilizing cutting-edge technology to help our clients achieve their immigration goals. Your responsibilities will include:

- Performing more substantive and client-facing work than a typical Paralegal in a law firm setting, including specialized tasks related to employment-based immigration matters
- Independently preparing and filing petitions with government agencies, such as gathering and reviewing necessary documents, drafting cases, and analyzing cases
- Overseeing case progress and status through the use of case management and billing systems
- Working with clients to troubleshoot issues, establish case strategy, and recommend solutions and process improvements
- Communicating with foreign nationals and clients to provide updates on case status and address inquiries
- Meeting deadlines and adhering to Service Level Agreements (SLAs)
- Assisting in the hiring and training of new team members and identifying ways to improve team productivity
- Staying up-to-date on changes to immigration policies and incorporating them into processes
- Utilizing case management and other reporting tools and technologies to manage information
- Contributing to team and individual productivity goals
- Following firm standards and policies to ensure compliance with regulations and client requirements
- Demonstrating a continuous improvement mindset and seeking opportunities to improve processes, products, or services.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree, Associate's degree, Paralegal certification, or experience in a customer-facing or client service-oriented role
- At least 4 years of experience in business immigration, preferably as a paralegal
- Strong knowledge of procedural requirements for various types of nonimmigrant and immigrant visas and client processes
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to draft documents, proofread, and avoid grammatical mistakes without the use of AI engines
- Experience using computer systems, such as MS Word and Excel
- Desire to contribute to a positive work environment, collaborate effectively, and promote teamwork
