Job Summary:

The Law Firm of Hall Prangle & Schoonveld is seeking an experienced Nurse Paralegal/Legal Nurse Consultant to join their medical malpractice defense group in their Las Vegas office. This is a full-time, in-office position that offers a highly competitive salary and benefits package.

Responsibilities:

- Review and analyze medical records, bills, notes, charts, and other relevant documents
- Conduct medical research and translate complex medical terminology
- Evaluate medical evidence and identify any discrepancies
- Prepare summaries and outlines of medical records for use in depositions and trial
- Educate attorneys on relevant medical issues
- Assist with preparation of evidence for trial
- Work with expert witnesses and assist in their preparation for trial
- Process authorizations for medical records
- Maintain accuracy and attention to detail

Requirements:

- Critical care clinical background desired
- Previous experience in medical malpractice defense litigation
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Strong writing, interpersonal, and organizational skills
- Proficiency in Outlook, MS Word, and Excel
- Knowledge of TrialPad is a plus
