This individual will be responsible for managing the intake of all incoming files and information as well as the transfer out of files when attorneys depart or clients request their files be moved. If you have a strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and a background in business administration or paralegal studies, we encourage you to apply for this position. Salary Information: - Salary Type: Exempt - Bachelor's degree in business administration, paralegal studies, or equivalent professional experience - Ability to travel up to 25% of the time H2: Responsibilities of Lateral File Intake/Transfer Manager As the Lateral File Intake/Transfer Manager at Law Firm, you will have the following responsibilities: - Manage the entire process of file intakes and transfers, from start to finish - Work with multiple teams to ensure a smooth intake and transfer process - Conduct conflict checks, identify priority matters, and draft engagement letters - Collaborate with various departments and offices to ensure consistency in processes - Organize and enter information into appropriate systems and databases - Coordinate with the billing team on client-level billing rates and project billing - Receive, log, and track incoming files and docketing information - Collaborate with the IP Docketing team as needed for managing workflow and deadlines - Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all incoming files - Assist with the preparation of reports and statistics related to file intake - Create client matter number matrix to match files from old firm to new firm - Ensure proper transfer of files out of the firm, including removal of specified documents - Draft client transfer letters and track responses when attorneys depart - Work with IT personnel to transfer necessary information in and out of the firm H2: Requirements for Lateral File Intake/Transfer Manager To be considered for the role of Lateral File Intake/Transfer Manager, candidates should have the following qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in business administration, paralegal studies, or equivalent professional experience - Knowledge of IP laws, regulations, and docketing procedures - Excellent attention to detail and accuracy - Ability to work independently and as part of a team - Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ability to quickly learn new software - Ability to travel up to 25% of the time - Strong written and oral communication skills - Self-motivated and able to maintain confidentiality - Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines - Professional demeanor and ability to maintain confidentiality Join Our Team at Law Firm At Law Firm, we are committed to providing equal opportunity and affirmative action for all employees.
