Position: Assistant State’s Attorney - Gun Violence Enforcement Division
Location: Baltimore, MD
Salary: $77,191+ commensurate with experience, in addition to a competitive benefits package
The **Members Only** is seeking a highly organized and team-oriented individual to join our team as an Assistant State’s Attorney (ASA) in the Gun Violence Enforcement Division (GVED). This position will be responsible for handling prosecution of all aspects of non-fatal shooting and firearm cases. We are looking for someone with a demonstrated interest and background in prosecuting crimes of violence, as well as at least three years of prosecutorial experience.
H2: Responsibilities
- Develop strategies and theories for effective case prosecution
- Identify legal issues and research relevant case law and statutes
- Handle pre-trial motions and all aspects of trial preparation and execution
- Interview victims and witnesses
- Collaborate regularly with Baltimore Police Department officers
- Draft and prepare a variety of legal documents, such as briefs, motions, subpoenas, and legal memoranda
- Perform related work as required

- Highly organized and able to work in a high-pressure environment
- Strong team player
- Demonstrated interest and background in prosecuting crimes of violence
- Ability to work independently
- Prior jury trial experience to verdict
- At least three years of prosecutorial experience

The salary for this position starts at $77,191, with potential for increase based on experience. In addition, we offer a competitive benefits package.
