Womble Bond Dickinson is a law firm with offices throughout the Southeast and Mid-Atlantic regions. They are currently seeking a skilled Lateral File Intake/Transfer Manager to join their team. This individual will be responsible for managing the intake and transfer of all incoming files, ensuring that all relevant information is gathered and processed accurately and efficiently. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in business administration or paralegal studies, as well as knowledge of IP laws and regulations. This is an exempt position with the opportunity for travel up to 25% of the time. Position: Lateral File Intake/Transfer Manager
Salary: Exempt

Responsibilities:

- Manage the intake and transfer process of all incoming files
- Work with multiple teams to ensure a smooth and efficient process
- Ensure all conflicts are cleared and relevant information is gathered and organized
- Collaborate with various departments to ensure consistency across all offices
- Utilize provided charts and systems to properly categorize and enter information
- Coordinate with billing team for client billing rates and project billing
- Receive, log, and track incoming files and docketing information
- Collaborate with IP Docketing team for workflow management and deadline reminders
- Prepare reports and statistics related to file intake
- Create client matter number matrix as needed
- Ensure proper transfer of client files out of the firm
- Work with IT personnel for transfer of information

Requirements:

- Bachelor's degree in business administration, paralegal studies, or equivalent experience
- Knowledge of IP laws, regulations, and docketing procedures
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ability to learn new software quickly
- Up to 25% travel may be required
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Self-motivated and able to maintain confidentiality
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
