# Attorney - Associate

Stark & Stark is actively recruiting for an associate attorney in the personal injury practice group within its Marlton, New Jersey office. The ideal candidate will be self-directed and detailed-oriented with the ability to organize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. With headquarters in Hamilton, New Jersey and offices in Marlton, New Jersey, Yardley, Pennsylvania and New York City, Stark & Stark is committed to bringing value to all its relationships.

## Job Responsibilities

- Support personal injury cases in a busy practice, with oversight from other attorneys in the practice group.
- Responsible for all phases of personal injury practice, from pre-litigation through post-litigation, with an emphasis on client interaction, drafting of pleadings, conducting written discovery, taking and defending depositions, handling court appearances, doing jury trials, and negotiating settlements.
- Evaluate the merits of personal injury claims, retain experts, and provide guidance and counsel to clients.

## Qualifications and Skills

- Solid work ethic
- 0 - 3 years of relevant law firm experience or judicial clerkship experience. Prior personal injury experience is preferred but not required.
- Solid legal research and writing skills.
- Ability to develop strong ties to Southern New Jersey as part of their business marketing strategy.
- Ability to work in the office full-time.
- Superior verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to multi-task while demonstrating strong integrity and professionalism.
- Willingness to work autonomously at times and collaboratively during other times, as an effective member of a practice group team.
