Type: Full-Time Troutman Pepper, a leading national law firm, is seeking a Multifamily Paralegal to join our Multifamily Housing Finance Group. This is a full-time position located in either Richmond, VA or Washington, . The Multifamily Paralegal will work with the Multifamily Housing Finance group and will be responsible for the review and analysis of title and survey on multifamily housing properties. This position requires a minimum of two (2) years of experience with commercial real estate transactions, specifically title and survey, and a bachelor's degree. The ideal candidate will have experience in a law firm or title company and familiarity with Fannie Mae/Freddie Mac guidelines. Responsibilities for this position include conducting title and survey review and analysis, maintaining knowledge of commercial real estate lending guidelines, performing paralegal duties, meeting loan closing deadlines, and maintaining the firm's official files. The Multifamily Paralegal must also have strong organizational and writing skills, the ability to work well in a team, and the ability to juggle multiple assignments in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong attention to detail, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team. They must also possess a high degree of professionalism and have the ability to manage a large workload while providing quality service to both internal and external clients. This is a billable hours position, so the Multifamily Paralegal must also be able to track and record client-billable time as required. This position requires a bachelor's degree and a minimum of two (2) years of experience in commercial real estate transactions. Experience with Fannie Mae/Freddie Mac guidelines is preferred. The Multifamily Paralegal must also have a strong understanding of title and survey review, specifically American Land Title Association and ALTA/NSPS. They must also have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and the ability to receive and follow complex instructions.
