Qualifications: - Minimum of 5 years of experience as a litigation paralegal in an AmLaw 100 firm or specialized litigation practice firm - Familiarity with all stages of litigation, including intake, discovery, and trial - Experience preparing for and attending trials, arbitrations, and hearings - Strong organizational skills, including the ability to work on multiple projects with changing priorities - Proficiency with cite-checking and Bluebook rules - Excellent communication skills and the ability to work with individuals at all levels within the firm - Bachelor's degree from an accredited college required, paralegal certificate preferred Duties and Responsibilities: - Manage all aspects of litigation case management, including file management, discovery, and trial activities - Implement a case calendaring system to track filings and distribute information accordingly - Oversee and coordinate tasks of junior paralegals and support staff on large litigation matters - Liaise between attorneys and support staff to ensure paralegal services meet expectations - Identify opportunities to improve systems and procedures and implement new systems as needed - Interact with outside entities, such as courts, government agencies, expert witnesses, and vendors, as needed to support firm activities - Lead discovery and witness preparation efforts - Draft, review, and analyze legal documents under attorney supervision - Provide guidance and training to junior paralegals on firm and litigation procedures - Maintain positive working relationships with colleagues to promote a productive work environment In addition to the above duties, the Senior Litigation Paralegal may also be responsible for managing relationships with peers in co-counsel or virtual law firm organizations and continuously refining and developing their skills in anticipation of changes in the work environment or profession.
