Job Title: SCC Counsel Barnes & Thornburg Law Firm is looking for an SCC Counsel to join their team and provide support to one of their key engagements. The ideal candidate should have at least 10 years of experience in trade compliance and export controls. Responsibilities: • Conduct comprehensive assessments of international trade transactions to identify potential compliance risks and ensure adherence to relevant trade laws, regulations and agreements • Analyze export/re-export and related documentation, export classification of goods, licensing requirements, and compliance procedures to ensure compliance with the Export Administration Regulations and related sanctions regulations • Participate in interviews of personnel involved with export/re-export functions • Assist with annual export/sanctions compliance audit • Stay current with changes in international trade laws and regulations to provide accurate and up-to-date advice to the engagement team Qualifications: • • Knowledge of export control laws and regulations • Ability to analyze complex trade transactions • Excellent written and verbal communication skills Salary: Competitive salary commensurate with experience and qualifications.
