Renewable Energy Tax Associate: Join the team at McGuireWoods as a highly skilled and experienced Associate in the Business Tax practice area. This is a lateral position with a competitive salary and excellent benefits, including a hybrid in-office/remote work option for optimal work-life balance.

Key Responsibilities:

- Provide legal and financial assistance to business and high-net-worth clients in the areas of business tax, employee benefits and executive compensation, and private wealth services.
- Represent clients in tax audits at federal, state, and local government levels.
- Advise clients on tax issues related to renewable energy transactions, including begin construction requirements, prevailing wage requirements, and apprenticeship requirements under code section 45 and 48.
- Handle M&A transactions, tax equity transactions, tax credit transfers, and other joint ventures.
- Prepare tax opinion letters.
- Collaborate with McGuireWoods' transactional tax lawyers.

Salary Information: $250,000 - $415,000

Qualifications:

- 3-8 years of experience in a law firm.
- Experience with tax credit transactions, tax credit transfers, tax equity financings, and tax opinion letters.
- Excellent academic credentials.
- . in taxation preferred.
