Real Estate Finance Associate at Law Firm

Law Firm is seeking a midlevel associate with a minimum of four years of experience to join the practice in the Washington, ., Baltimore or Tysons office. The qualified candidate will have experience representing borrowers, lenders, and/or government-sponsored enterprises in connection with commercial loan transactions.


Job Responsibilities:

• Reviewing, drafting, and negotiating loan documents
• Reviewing, analyzing, and managing legal due diligence (such as organizational documents and ownership structure, title, survey, zoning, leases, and legal opinions)
• Managing and closing complex commercial real estate transactions
• Experience with Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, and/or other multifamily lenders, and/or syndicated credit facilities
• Working on loans secured by multifamily housing, seniors housing, affordable housing, manufactured housing, and/or hotels
• Training and managing junior associates and paralegals

Qualifications:

• Juris doctorate degree from an accredited law school
• Admitted to and in good standing with the relevant jurisdiction’s bar
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Detailed oriented and organized
• Outstanding academic record
